Why read the bible?

It answers life’s most fundamental questions in a way that satisfies the human soul like no other written work in history.

That is why it is by far the best selling book of all time!

Because the bible is inspired by God, it is the only reliable guide to lead us through this strangely joyful, difficult, exhilarating and bewildering life, and into God’s blissful presence when our lives here come to a close.

It keeps us from error.

“You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures.” Matthew 22:29

It encourages and empowers people to live lives of high moral standing!

“How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” Psalm 119:9

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint (and sin).” Proverbs 29:18

So we want to encourage you to read in the bible every day and discover all that God has for you. Do not read out of legalism but see your reading as an opportunity to allow God to be your guide in this life and to bring you safely to his heavenly kingdom!
